Winemaker’s Notes

Petit Icon is a perfect expression of a balanced, intense, and complex wine. It also re ects our passion and love for Chilean wine and viticulture. The percentage of Syrah gives to this wine a dark color and a full body sensation. Very valuable in experienced palates. Carmenere also gives the spicy notes in the nose along with violet hints. Cabernet Sauvignon is the emblematic variety in Chile. It gives structure, elegance, and rounded tannins. A small percentage of Petit Verdot gives tannins and high concentration. The 20 months aged in oak barrels adds to this wine the leather aromas, along with vanilla and notes of ashes.

The intention of this wine is to create a wine for experienced palates who enjoy wines with unique personality. Almost all thegrapes comes from the best blocks in Colchagua Valley, one of the most important and well recognize valleys in Chile. The blocks were planted in 1998 in la Robleria. It is characterized by their low yield of 5000 kilos per hectare. When the plant is old enough it reaches their maximum equilibrium of the grape in terms of color, sweetness, and acidity.
