Soils
The soils are red clay on the top and then a granitic decomposed type of soil, rich in quartz and iron. The pH is slightly acidic, between 6 and 7 - Organic material content is 1.5% – 2.5%.
Climate
Strong coastal influence, mainly in the afternoons with winter temperatures averaging a minimum of 2°C and a maximum of 15°C and summer temperatures ranging from a minimum of 11°C to a maximum of 25° C on average.
Rainfall
360 mm per year. The rain falls mainly between May and September.
